Spais! Disrupting our Oyonata iHub bash.
When an unknown cyno drops right in amongst your fleet while you're fleet bashing a vulnerable iHub, the only response is to destroy it. And the calls to destroy it immediately went out over comms, until someone then said "It's a friendly!" Who's though? It really shouldn't matter. It wasn't announced ahead of time. So assume it's not going to be the cavalry. At least not your cavalry.
A Minmatar militia spy, not in fleet, opened the cyno. Can't recall the name. Just a cyno alt, so of no consequence, and not worth adding to a watch list. That character's utility as a Minmatar spy has been compromised and is likely soon for the biomass processing queue. Another will take its place.
As soon as the first orange appeared on grid, the call to evac went out. The Amarr defenders popped a Minmatar Hurricane and a Thrasher (not mine, for a change.) Everyone else got out. They proceeded to trash talk over local, the usual sort of tired unimaginative "We enjoy raping you" chatter. Our losses didn't even cover their fuel costs.
We retreated to Sosan, then headed to Kourmonen (yes, that's still a hotly battled-over system at the moment, now 61% contested.) When we had word they were bugging out, back to Kamela, we headed back to Oyonata. They'd already opened a minor plex, trying to get their iHub out of vulnerable, but we chased their two frigates away. We continued to bang on their iHub, while taking the minor down to about a minute left on the timer and then leaving it that way.
They hotdropped us on the iHub again. I'm not sure they got anyone the second time. I'm not even sure we know who dropped the cyno, though there were three non-fleeted Minmatar in system. We retreated into the minor plex. Safe as a bug in a rug. Minor plexes are only accessible to T1 frigates, faction frigates and destroyers (the few of us who couldn't get into the minor plex, went back to Sosan to wait them out.)
In the end, they still lost Oyonata.
Kourmonen is still being fought over, tooth and nail.

ReplyDeleteI wouldn't gloat too much if I were you. The Amarr did demonstrated that they can field a pretty impressive fleet and hot drop you guys at well. That said, however, good job on going back and securing the system...
ReplyDeleteThey should probably send in about 30 tackle first.
