So I was slightly annoyed to log in, last night, to see we'd just vacated two hours of being at T5. But we were still sitting at 79.5%, just barely under T5. I decided to continue with the plan to mission, in case anybody decided to push us over the top again.
I was dual-boxing hardcore. Poetic out picking up and doing the missions, Scottish out buying up all the cheap EMP S ammo he could find and hauling it back to Abudban. Just as I was finishing up both activities, a couple hours later, warzone control moved to 80.5%. A hair into T5 control.
I managed to climb to 252K LP, though I wasn't able to find enough ammo to use up that much LP. 3.6M units of EMP S, I was only going to be spending 216K LP. Better than nothing. Time to start furiously clicking.
My wrists were so damned sore afterwards. T5 warzone control doesn't quite have the finish of masturbation, but it does have the wrist workout.
At some point during all the endless clicking, we slipped to 80.2% control. Three minutes after I'd converted all my EMP S to Republic Fleet EMP S, we were back to 79.8%.
I courier contracted it all to Jita for 40M ISK. I like to support haulers. I used to do a fair bit of hauling myself. Once a space teamster, always a space teamster.
The last time we hit T5 control, I made 1.572B ISK in profit on 254K LP, or 6188 ISK per LP. That's a pretty good conversion, LP to ISK. Last night, I made 1.306B ISK in profit on 216K LP, or 6046 ISK per LP. A tad less than previously, but prices are still depressed, I believe, because of all the ammo that flooded onto the market just a couple weeks ago. I'm not complaining, though. If you're pulling in 6000 ISK (or more) per LP point, you're doing quite well.
I'll probably continue doing missions for most of this week. In the event we try for T5 control one last time before Nulli makes their presence known. I'll stockpile the ammo for a month or so before dumping it on the market, wait for prices to recover again.
This was going to lead into some lengthy sections on T5 LP store scaling, and perhaps moving the warzone control LP scaling elsewhere, an excellent idea I've been hearing a lot about from Hans. And I was going to write about the possible impact of Nulli moving into the Amarr militia for a short vacation. I'll save both for separate posts.
Two weekends of T5 net you enough to buy approximately 2706 thrashers at current Jita prices. I'd by lying if I said I wasn't envious. Just a little.

most of amarr agreed to stop flipping systems. Just check the FW window. At least 5 systems are over 90% contested without any atempt to flip them. I don't see why you are suprised that you have T5 again.

DeleteThanks. I understand the market. I've even suggested we don't announce, to keep Amarr alts from cashing out to a minimum. But since the last was announced, I was still expecting to be ignored and the next T5 push to be announced too.
DeleteConsidering how close we are to T5, most of the time now, it only takes a few folks to push us upwards of their own accord. The LP they spend to do it, outweighs the massive profits they earn.
The next push to T5 will likely be unannounced too ... but I'll be ready for it.
I still think the LP store pricing scaling is ridonkulous ... but while it is implemented, I'll take advantage of it. Last month I lost 500M ISK in ships, this month it will be closer to 750M ISK in ships (maybe more.) So I need the T5 winfall to keep me in the fights.
The reason it was unannounced was becuase we were the ones that pushed it. The truth is, theres nothing you can do to keep Amarr alts from cashing out and the only reason large alliances like LNA and Iron Oxide want to control when the push happens is so that they can profit off of their own members by manipulating the markets appropriately beforehand.

A carebear would scream on the forums that a mechanic should be created to make sharing Plexes impossible. I didn't do that. I actually stated that the plex troll was well within their right to do what they did. I didn't have to accept it ... and at one point did lock and attack them (but one gun wasn't going to do much.)

Until CCP makes changes to the LP store prices, I'll abuse the system, the same as anyone else.
