Soundwave Soundboard Competition - SoCo

The Soundwave Soundboard Competition is currently running. I spent most of last night, and a good portion of today putting this song together. It's "sung" to the tune of Roxanne by The Police. The remixed song is called SoCo.

It went through a tonne of lyric changes, as certain words were just not available. I was able to construct a few new words from a mix of sound clips, for instance the BR from Brick Squad and the ING from convincing to form BRING. Rhyming verses were difficult to find, but I figure I did okay in the end.

(I would have loved to have autotuned this, but I couldn't get the GSnap plugin for Audacity to do much. I think it works best if you have a MIDI keyboard connected and actually know something about music.)

Just a fun little ditty, sung from Test Alliance's point of view about their recent war in Delve and the lack of good fights anymore.

Music: The Police
Vocals: CCP Soundwave
Backing Vocals: CCP Soundwave
Lyrics: Poetic Stanziel

SoCo, you don’t have to run away
Test would give up Delve if you would stay

SoCo, get on and bring your Titan
We are serious about fighting

SoCo, you don’t have to run away
SoCo, you don’t have to run away

You don’t have to run away
(SoCo, SoCo)
x5

We have a convincing victory
We taught Against All Authorities
We thoroughly spanked Nulli Secunda
We have beaten the Godfathers
Don’t run away to lowsecs
Test Alliance should be next
The Alliance Tournament will be our next play

SoCo, you don’t have to run away
SoCo, you don’t have to run away

You don’t have to run away
(SoCo)
x11

Woop woop!

    1. Judging from the dev/GM responses in the competition thread, it looks like it will come down to the piece of music selected, not how the soundboard itself was utilized.
