Faction Warfare - Shalee Can Roleplay Making Me A Sammich

Damn it all. I miss Fweddit and Moar Tears.

The situation down here, it's just sadness stacked upon more sadness.

We took Lamaa tonight. Kourmonen is at 95%. Kamela is at 52%. Sosala is at 40%.

In Kamela local I asked "Where do you Amarr stage out of now? Since you don't seem to give a shit about Kamela?" Some jackass replied "YOLOCOLO did nothing for us." What? My reply "They took Kourmonen, and we couldn't touch Kamela while they were staging out of it. You jackasses can't even hold Kamela for yourselves."

Sadness, heaped upon sadness.

The entire evening, we had only one noteworthy engagement, and it was against Agony. Sigh. The sigh is for the Amarr. The Agony fight was fun. They lost 1.5B in Tech 2 cruisers and such. But that our only real engagement was with folks not at all invested in the Minmatar/Amarr conflict. Yep, sadness, piled high upon sadness.

What the Amarr need again, is for some large group to swoop in to save their asses. Much as Fweddit did. The Amarr now need Goonfwarm. Goon FW Arm. Goonfwarm.

So what do we Minmatar do now? We aren't getting fights. No outlook for getting any good fights. I think we're looking to taking every single system, get our CCP medal (apparently they award medals to any side that can take all the systems; the Caldari did this once.) Then cash out all the LP at T5 warzone control. And then consider other options. So we do have a goal, it's just not a happy goal, because right now, it's looking like something that's going to be too easy to achieve.

Seems all the Amarr have left are roleplaying alliances. And they're too busy hunched over their word processors and thesauruses to worry about things like holding key systems.

And if we do achieve taking every system, what becomes of the plots of all the Amarr roleplaying stories? You know, where they're now our slaves? Shalee can write about making me sammiches and giving me long, slow foot massages.

  1. Hmmm... didn't you, just in your last freaking post, say that the YOLOCOLO did nothing for amarr? TBF, our absentee "allies" also accused us of doing nothing- but now we see that they can't even hold kourmonen or kamela without us. Guess this just goes to show how shit they all actually were- something we've asserted from the start. Amarr FW are forum warriors and whiners extraordinaire, and will now lapse back into minmatar completely dominating without even being able to reach t3 again.

    1. What is happening now is nothing, so anything you all did is infinitely more than nothing, even if what you did was still pretty close to nothing. ;)

  2. You are assuming you can't role play exiled in Caldari space. And if there is no one left to fight then the hard core pvp'ers will move on. The well-oiled machine will grow rusty. And of course we'll see if winter brings anything.

  3. You pathetic Matari slaves shall never succeed. Our battle commander was shown to be an apostate, so our recent setbacks were Divine Punishment for our unwitting glorification of such a contemptible individual. He has now been cleansed in the fires of retribution. We shall now turn those fires upon you. Your silver-tongue shall not save you, Matari.

    1. This is what they were doing last evening, instead of fighting. Hovering over their thesauri.

  4. Look, we didn't d-plex b/c we'd rather pvp. And by pvp, I mean actually fight, not run into a massive blob of SFIs. So, no, we didn't bother holding it b/c honestly, it just isn't fun to spend my limited play time running defensive plexes. You guys can have the damn systems. I want the fights. There haven't been many lately.

    1. Oh look, here's one doing what they do best- Didn't want that strategically useful system anyway: and other forum warrioring catchphrases by useless amarr militia. You didn't defend those systems because you're a pathetic, useless long-rotten carcass of a half-assed excuse of a militia. If you wanted pvp and ~gudfites~ you'd hold the two systems that let you do that without traveling 12 jumps.

    2. now now, they don't have the numbers Fweddit has. Maybe they just don't want to ditch their egos and work together long enough to be big enough to take on these "blobs of SFIs".

Guys, it's okay, you don't become less of a roleplayer if you join forces.

  5. Are you not going to be happy until amarr tries to get more plex bunnies hiding from wartargets as they orbit a button?

People who are new to faction war might be all upset about this sort of thing but it is business as usual for anyone who was in fw for a while.

Hint: FW plexing was always most efficiently done as pve. CCP didn't change the actual plexing mechanic they just added rewards.

Yes I wanted something that would change plexing to be meaningful (read: based on small scale pvp), yes I was upset when it was clear we weren't going to get it. But its not something we are just figuring out now.

FW occupancy is still a carebear staring match. If the new guys want to move to caldari space to continue the carebear staring contest, thats ok. If i were new I would want to do the same. You can see occupancy is all about farmers in metro, maybe its better in black rise.

What went wrong? Blame the old guard, blame ccp, blame thesaruses, I don't care. But it will be same shit different system. Maybe your side will be winning the carebear stare down, maybe not. It never mattered in the past, and since ccp didn't make fw meaningful in the sense of it being based on small scale pvp, I don't care now.

Me, I will still be hopping into plexes in busy wartarget systems in order to get some good pvp - regardless of whether that is in bleak lands or black rise. I may not finish orbiting the button if I see all the minmatar leave the system. I will still keep telling ccp they should make the occupancy war a pvp mechanic.

But whatever, what do I know?

  6. dear winning team joiner [WTJ]poetic, took some weeks but finally u start to understand now that winning team joining can be boring, like the other thousand minmatar winning team joiners attracted by the new mechanics...

    1. I knew nothing about "winning sides" when I joined FW. I joined Minmatar only because of Hans. I joined the corporation he's a director in. I voted for him in CSM7. I liked his platform. I like him as a person. I knew whatever corp he was a member of was going to be a quality corp. That's the only reason I chose Minmatar.

Hell, if you read my early FW posts, just before I joined, I was under the impression that Caldari, Gallente, Amarr and Minmatar all fought in the same 100 or so lowsec systems. At that point, I didn't know that Amarr/Minnies had their own systems to fight over, and Caldari/Gallente had theres.
