Fweddit - Hypotheticals
Imagine there is a Fleet A, which consists of 30 pilots, six of which are flying Blackbirds, and another two flying Griffins. The rest of the fleet is mainly battlecruisers, and of those mostly Drakes.
Fleet A is set up on a gate leading to Fleet B's home system. There are 30 or so Fleet B pilots in station in their home system. So, the number of pilots available to Fleet B is equal to Fleet A.
Fleet B has eyes on Fleet A's composition. For a good 15 minutes. So, Fleet B has all the time in the world to build an appropriate fleet to counter Fleet A.
Fleet B, for whatever reason, only brings 20 people to the fight. They jump into Fleet A, start burning away, as is their wont in Drake fights. Most of Fleet B's Drakes are equipped with ECCM - Gravimetric II modules.
The battle begins and ends about four minutes later. Fleet A loses a Ferox, a Rupture, a Thrasher and a Griffin. Fleet B loses six Drakes, a Tornado, and a Thrasher. They warp off, saving the remainder of their fleet.
Immediately after the fight, one of Fleet B's members starts bitching that we brought ECM and how unfair the fight was.
Given that Fleet B 1) had eyes on Fleet A for 15 minutes, 2) equipped their Drakes with ECCM to counter Fleet A's Blackbirds, and 3) jumped into Fleet A of their own volition, does Fleet B get to bitch about how "unfair" the fight was, especially given they had every opportunity to build a fleet to match Fleet A's composition, and it was ultimately their decision to engage Fleet A?
Yeah, I didn't think so either.
DurrHurrDurr was FCing our fleet. Holy headache. He's a talented FC. Understands target calling, how to approach any fight with Late Night Alliance. But damn, can he be loud and shrill. He'll often break down into almost unintelligible static, peaking out on all the meters. He yells and screeches for the sake of it, not at anyone in particular, and not because he's mad or raging. He just loves screeching.
