Fweddit - Shalee's Woes
I'll do something different. I'll give a certain segment of my occasional readership some bang for their buck.
For 2.5 billion ISK, I'll shut the hell up for a week. What that means is, no blog posts, no tweets, no forum posts, not a peep out of me publicly for seven entire days.
You choose the week. The earliest possible date starts January 1 2013. You can purchase multiple weeks if you wish, to be used contiguously or separately. You decide. So for those of you willing to spend some money, you get something for the ISK.
My one month forum ban finally ends on December 28. That's exciting news to everyone. Why was I banned? I referred to Ka Pow Pow as the "dicks of the Minmatar." Which isn't so bad really (it's certainly true), except that I bypassed the forum obscenity filters. Rather than writing "dicks" I should have just called them pricks. Pricks probably isn't something picked up by the filter.
Oh well. C'est la vie. I do the crime, I have to do the time.
Four different sources have confirmed Late Night Alliance's intention to leave faction warfare completely if they lose Huola. Granted, that's no longer on our radar, but interesting nonetheless. The CSM Faction Warfare Representative, Hans Jagerblitzen, would rather take his ball and go home, rather than play by all the rules he helped set in motion. The guy has a thimbleful of character, maybe less. Disappointing to learn how truly uncommitted he is to the area of EVE that actually got him elected.
Shalee Lianne's Imperial Outlaws [I.LAW] is about to be no more. Some douchebag took over the corporation, inserted himself as CEO.
Apparently the story goes back to when Imperial Outlaws was first created. A dude named SaB0TaG3 helped form the corp. He gave himself 1000 shares. He, at some point, lost his mind. He was kicked before he could do any harm, but since he still owned those 1000 shares, it kind of limited what iLaw could do as a corp.
Fast forward ahead a year. Imperial Outlaws brought in a new member. Druiel Druphesto. He made it through all the Ventrilo interviews, seemed like a stand-up fellow. Except, unbeknownst to anyone, he was a friend of SaB0TaG3. So the moment Druiel was accepted and in as a member of Imperial Outlaws, SaB0TaG3 transferred his 1000 shares to Druiel.
Druiel didn't waste much time elevating himself to the CEO position. That was his only victory. Imperial Outlaws doesn't keep anything in their corp hangars, and the directors were able to get all ISK out of the corp wallets before Druiel could get to them.
Not exactly a Guiding Hand Social Club level heist. Unfortunately it does mean that Shalee and her people have lost complete control over their corporation. So over the next couple days there will be a mass exodus to a new corporation. In Exile.
Pinky Feldman is a secret roleplayer. The Matari murder their own. 2184 slaves slain by their own people. Truly tragic.
Ushra'Khan delivered some Christmas gifts to us outside our Egghelende station. Spirits. Tobacco. That sort of thing. Apparently they are trying to kill us, through some sort of addiction-related scenario. The Matari can be crafty.
Spent about a half hour on Ushra'Khan's teamspeak with Pinky. I didn't do much other than say hello. Pinky did most of the talking. Was interesting to learn that their opinion of Late Night Alliance is about as low as Fweddit's opinion.
Also learned that the Minmatar are once again thinking about all the systems. They failed last time due to the Aussies (Susan Black characterized their failure as just not caring, except I was in Late Night at the time and they very much cared, and were very much demoralized that they were roadblocked by a single system.)
None of the Amarr are really caring that much. We're currently bleeding systems left and right. I know Pinky is depressed about it. I'd rather we weren't losing systems, but there's little the two of us can do to fire people up.
Oh well. I still see two stumbling blocks on the road to the Minmatar getting all the systems. Sahtogas again. The Aussies are still there and unwilling to give up their home system. And Siseide. Although Fweddit, In Exile and TMFed base out of Egghelende, we still consider Siseide a home system. I can't see us giving that up without a huge fight. Of course, I've said these things before about Fweddit. We'll see what happens when the time comes.
So back to our Ushra'Khan visit. I was really impressed with the comraderie on display in their comms. Reminded me very much of Fweddit comms. U'K and Fweddit have more in common than anyone might have imagined.
I had mad respect for Ushra before. Now I have madder respect. Good group of people.
Fweddit had a six assault frigate fleet in Auga the other day. Looking for good fights. Late Night happened along. Dropped two Hurricanes and three Guardians on those six assault frigates.
I suppose Fweddit should take it as a compliment that Late Night's confidence in our abilities is so high that they have to outship and outdrop us by such a large margin.
It's true they are terrible at PvP in equal numbers. I just didn't think they realized it as well. (One of them must have looked into a mirror last week.) When they feel that they need to drop Hurricanes and Guardians on assault frigates, the lack of faith in their ability speaks for itself.
I made a 50M ISK bet with Byakko. I bet that CCP will release Retribution 1.1 on or before January 15 2013. He bets that it will be released after. Earn me some money CCP.
