10. How to Boil a Frog

Wherein I relate how CCP is making the game safer for highsec dwellers. Retribution might not have turned out to be entirely doom and gloom for PvPers, but there are features that make it harder for those PvPers that like to operate out of highsec. The frog boiling thing is a metaphor based on some inaccurate "science".

9. Star Citizen is not an MMO, is not an EVE Online Competitor

Wherein I get miffed about a certain segment of the EVE playerbase believing that this maybe-game will be an EVE killer. Which it won't be, because it doesn't try to do any of the things that makes EVE successful. Hell, it's heading in the opposite direction from EVE in many cases.

8. Not Being Facetious - Ripard Teg for CSM8

Wherein I make a case for Ripard finally running (and winning) a CSM seat. He wants to be there. He's just waffling. He assumes he does more good outside the CSM than he could within. Which is bunk.

7. Fixing Technetium

The reason why I make "suggestions" on large-scale mechanics I don't know a tonne about is because I know I'm going to learn a lot about them via the comments. Easier than just finding and talking to one person. Of course the comments on these types of posts are plentiful and heated, sometimes amusing, always contentious.

6. The "Problem" with AFK Cloaking

AFK cloaking seems to upset a great number of people. I don't suggest anything here, other than to state that I see no problem with AFK cloaking.

There is a lot of great EVE Online-themed music out there, mostly rewritten lyrics to existing songs. I chose, what I felt, were the best, and included all of them into a single post. One stop shopping for the best songs out there.

An extension of the Boiling Frog post, talking specifically about kill rights.

3. Quote of the Week: Ripard Teg's CSM8 Run is in Full Swing

Ripard and the CSM again. Though this post was made well before the Not Facetious post above. This one was kinda facetious at the time.

2. Hulkageddon V - Internet Space Terrorism

Wherein I relate Hulkageddon to real-life terrorism, and explain that it's no big deal if a 2M ISK destroyer can kill a 150M ISK exhumer. I still think it's a ridiculous argument that only ships of equal value should be able to kill each other effectively. Carebears tend to only apply this argument to mining ships. The rage over Hulkageddon V eventually forced CCP's hand and they buffed mining barges and exhumers a couple months later.

1. The Jade Constantine Conspiracy

Jade, who believes that every CCP emergency fix is the result of something undesirable happening to Goonswarm. I argued that Jade had his head up his ass on this one. Revolves around the broken wardec system after Inferno's release.
