The 3Rs - Reading Rainbow Revenge

Retribution's new bounty system is great. I'm quickly learning that there are a million reasons to put bounties on people. Because they blow people up is the least of those reasons.

People that misspell lose as "loose". Currently my number one reason to throw a 100K ISK bounty on a person. Though I've been known to toss bounties on people who turn torture into "torcher".

One addition to the new bounty system that I'd love to see: a reason field. It's really not enough to just toss a bounty on someone if I can't offer them up an explanation.

  • Lose is not spelled loose.
  • Having Gangnam Style playing in the background while you were on comms.
  • Changing your hairstyle to that of a school marm. (Shalee!)

How much better does the bounty system become if we can add a reason along with an amount? Infinitely better!

There's also a movement by CSM7 Chairman Seleene to add an "Add Bounty" button to the EVE Gate forums. I support this as well.

How much easier and convenient it would be to place bounties on members of the "i didn't loose any drones" club. (The use of lowercase is also an affront.) Placing the bounty conveniently from the forums, so much easier than having to log into the game to do it. Hell, if I have to do that, I might actually forget to place the bounty. Not acceptable!

(EVE Gate bounties would have to be placed carefully, since so many of the posters are posting alts. You'll never find them in game to collect.)

So, yeah, CCP. Great new addition to the game. A couple of add-ons can make it so much better. A reason field. And the ability to add bounties from EVE Gate. Make these two things happen!

  1. Your "number on reason"? Really? That's worth 200k at least.

Maybe you should throw a bounty on yourself for the "number one reason" (with an E) ;-)

And +1 for adding a "reason" field to the place bounty. Just to tell people you placing that one just because they are dump.
(Feel free to place a bounty on that character name. It's mine.)

  5. Considering the Amarrs showing this last weekend, failing to take Huola, Lamaa or Vard after all that chest beating must be a blow. Welping multiple fleets to smaller Minnie fleets even when you had up to 13 T1 logi on field and losing Ezzara on top of it all can't have been much good for morale either.

But all of that counts for nothing and isn't worth commenting on as you've got really worthwhile things like your bounty placement criteria and the almost useless DasherCat doctrine to write about.

It really was nice to see you all out trying though, I hope your lot had as much fun as we did.

    1. Oh look. Minmatar butthurt.

I said it was a marathon, not a sprint. Nobody claimed Huola would be taken in a weekend.

Maybe if you didn't attack your own militia, Ka Pow Pow would not have been kicked from FW because of bad standings. Keep being terrible.

    2. Oh boy, the propaganda spin. I was in every major win and welp this weekend, and not a single fleet I was in had more than 8 T1 logistics. In fact, every fight we've had have seen the Minmatar use up to double our numbers and T2 hulls.

If failing to take Huola means that the Minnies are actually undocking and fighting we welcome it.

    3. @Anonymous_Ka_Pow_Pow While you're having angry masturbation sessions over Fweddit and faction warfare ... we're having fun with our Venture Adventure.

That's the difference between Late Night and Fweddit. Fun. We have it. You're far too serious.

    4. Now, now, your bias and petty hatred is showing.

You did claim it would fall rapidly, very rapidly...gloated over it in fact. You always do over egg the pudding in your blog though. As a propaganda mouthpiece you do hover round the Chemical Ali end of the spectrum when it comes to accuracy.

Don't feel to bad, after all it all helps no matter how small and flawed the contribution.

      You should quote me.

    6. Should be "Amarr's." Possessive. Sounds like somebody needs to go on a venture adventure to relieve some stress.

  6. I place bounties on bloggers when they post a blog that is 100% factually and grammatically correct. You almost became the first recipient, but you had a two-space word gap in your second sentence. Also several instances of the horrible and disgusting habit of replacing an appropriate comma with a period, in a pathetic attempt to give the final clause more "punch".

    1. If I thought you logged into the game, I'd probably be worried. Hmm. That might be why you CSM folks are gunning for bounties via EVE Gate. :)

  8. 'Your' correct Poetic, people who can't 'speel', or use 'grammor' should have a bounty placed on them. +1:-)

  9. I've been putting bounties on players for the following reasons:

    1) To get players to put bounties on me;

    2) Carebears in high sec, so they get the honor of flying around with WANTED on their portraits; and

    3) For no reason at all.

Thus far, I've put over 500 bounties on random players, and received over 100M of bounties on myself... heh.

If everyone joins in, we'll have all of New Eden reveling in bounties for the New Year!

  10. Put bounties on everyone who chats in local, and support the effort to put an end to local chat, once and for all.
